Atlet is relatively unusual in British industry in having Joint Managing Directors – Paul Forster and Mark Gibb This situation is evidence of the company’s flat, hierarchy-free, management structure which expedites hands-on decision making and brings much closer proximity to the market. Down to earth teamwork is at the very heart of the Atlet way of operating, and Paul and Mark’s “joint and several” expertise is its driving force. The joint managing directorship was established in 1999.

PAUL FORSTER is responsible for sales and marketing. With a long career in industrial capital equipment, and a mechanical engineer by training, Paul joined Atlet’s salesforce in 1983 and became Sales & Marketing Director in 1991. Out of hours Paul is an avid golfer, an accomplished amateur photographer and a keen supporter of Leicester Tigers RFC. He’s also a classic car enthusiast.

MARK GIBB, who looks after all things financial (including the autonomous Atlet Finance Limited), has a rather grander automotive background – and one which provided a good grounding for working with quality machinery such as Atlet trucks. Prior to joining Atlet (as Finance Director) in 1995 he spent 18 years with Porsche Cars. He achieved the role of Finance Director for the UK, before moving to the company HQ in Stuttgart to become Controller of Overseas Subsidiaries.
