We use two typefaces: Futura in headings and Garamond in body copy.
Futura makes a striking impression which is very suitable for headings. But longer passages need to be both easily read and aesthetically attractive, so we use Garamond for body copy.
Futura
Futura extra bold is used in headings and subheadings.
Is used in the yellow line, but otherwise only exceptionally.
Is used in tables, address lines etc.
Garamond
There are several styles in the Garamond family. We use the following three:
A Garamond
Stempel Garamond
ITC Garamond
Used for introductions and sometimes for subheadings.
An easily legible face which is used in body copy. It can also be used in tables.
Used for captions and to emphasize particular parts of the body copy.
Size of characters
Remember to use the right size of type for the copy. 11 point is ideal for body copy, legible to most people but not too large.
The spacing between the lines also contributes to legibility. 11 point on 13, or 11 point on 14 should normally be chosen.
