Working method

The working method can be divided in certain steps.
Step 1:
Define an idea of a system that you want to test. Storage systems, equipment, building, materials flow...
Look in the "How to.." section to get ideas in designing efficient systems

Step 2:
Setup a new project.Set identities.Define drawing size.

Step 3:
Create a layout.Make the building.Create storage system and working areas. Add aisles...

Step 4:
Add handling equipment.

Step 5:
Create administrative areas. With administrativ areas you control how to place items (frequency placing), sorting order for picking ...

Step 6:
Create the materials flow through the system.
There are 3 methods. Testcycles, order generators contolled by order structures and reading from external files (could be on-line from a real system).

Step 7:
Setup reports. The reports gives information as summaries or in detail about what takes place in the system.
You can also setup benchmark reports to compare different simulations.

Step 8:
Simulate!Simulation can be shown i 2D or 3D.You can "sit on" a truck in 3D and see your sytsem from a truck drivers view point!

Step 9:
Print the report.

Step 10:
Analyse the report output to find out weak points to improve.
If all seems OK , no more actions else change system parameters and repeat.
Look in the "How to.." section to get ideas how to analyse the reports.

Step 11:
You have now build the project in virtual reality, the last step is to realize the project in the real reality.
